Regular Season Round 16: Hradec Kralove - SBS Ostrava 68-70

Eighth-rankedHradec Kralove (4-11) gave a tough game to second ranked SBS Ostrava (13-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Ostrava managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68 . However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Oliana Squires (175-1998, college: Montana St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Croatian forward Iva Belosevic (185-1997, college: UTRGV) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four SBS Ostrava players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Eliska Halova (180-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Jindriska Hruba (178-2004) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Hradec Kralove's coach Romana Ptackova tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. SBS Ostrava maintains second position with 13-3 record having five points less than leader USK Praha. Hradec Kralove lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost.
